Approximately 127 households in several villages in Nkhata-Bay have been impacted by floods due to heavy rainfall since April 11, 2024. The District Disaster Risk Management Officer, Rachel Kamanga, announced this during a meeting, stating that more households may be affected as the rains persist. Kamanga has requested assistance in the form of food, shelter, and any other support for the affected families.
